Alexandre della Faille holds a Master’s degree in Translation (French / English / Spanish), which he obtained with High Distinction, as well as a specialisation in Terminology.
He grew up in the French-speaking part of Belgium, Wallonia, and his passion for his mother tongue emerged very early in his life. As early as at the age of 8, he started writing poems and short stories. He won several competitions, which rooted his love for French and strengthened his linguistic aspirations.
He quickly felt the compelling need to share his passion with people around him, considering that it was his humble way of safeguarding the beauty and the richness of the French language over time.
At the age of 20, he gave many language classes to children and teenagers, and his approach was based on practising in an open atmosphere – practising the language while playing, doing homework or exploring the garden! It proved to be highly effective, so much so that Alexandre converted that approach into his motto for the future.
After his studies, he worked for almost eight years as a project manager in an EU-oriented company in Brussels. He acted as an intermediary between the European Commission and technical experts. Thanks to his contacts with people with diverse visions, combined with his many travels across Europe, he acquired a unique ability to sense people’s needs, to adapt his behaviour to their expectations and cultures, and to make them acquire new knowledge rapidly.
During that period his true passion stayed on his mind and he decided to exploit his talents full time.
In 2015 he set up an enterprise, Un iota en plus, offering linguistic services in French: correction, rewriting, drafting services.
In order to be even closer to those who need or like to learn French, and to make them discover the beauty of the language dynamically and effectively, Alexandre launched private, tailor-made, intensive French courses for professionals in 2016. With a touch of luxury, he applies his motto, a formula that delivers:
